Why choose us for your build ?

THREE THINGS THAT MAKE THE DIFFERENCE

    We Do The Work

Same crew from demolition through the final walkthrough. Your project never gets handed off to a subcontractor, so you always know who's responsible.

    The Estimate Is The Price

We walk the grade and the access route before quoting, so difficult site conditions get priced up front instead of coming back later as a change order.

    We'll Tell You No

If composite isn't right for your lot, or the project isn't worth what it would cost to build, we'll say so. A straight answer instead of a sales pitch.

    How it works

FROM FIRST CALL TO FINISHED DECK

No pressure, no obligation, and no charge to find out what your project would cost.

    One

    We Come Out

We walk the space with you — grade, access, sun, and how the deck ties into the house.

    Two

    Design & Materials

Layout, decking, and railing. We bring composite samples so you choose in your own light.

    Three

    Written Estimate

A real number with the scope spelled out, including anything about your site that affects it.

    Four

    Permits & Build

We pull permits and coordinate inspections. Most decks take one to three weeks once we start.

    Deck Builder FAQ

    Deck project by Arellano Construction
What does a new deck cost in Chattanooga?
It depends on size, material, and how high off the ground it sits — an elevated deck on a steep lot costs more than a ground-level build because of the structure underneath. Most of our custom projects start around $15,000. We give free written estimates after walking the site, so you get a real number instead of a range off a calculator.
Is composite worth it over wood?
For most homeowners here, yes. Wood costs less up front but needs cleaning, sanding, and staining on a schedule most people give up on — and in shade or humidity it degrades faster than people expect. Composite costs more at the start and then costs nothing. We'll price both.
How long does a deck take to build?
Most residential decks run one to three weeks of build time once we start. Elevated, multi-level, and covered structures take longer. Permitting and material lead times usually affect the start date more than the build itself.
Do you handle permits and HOA approval?
Yes. We pull the permits and coordinate inspections as part of the build. If your neighborhood has an architectural review committee, we prepare the drawings and material specs they require.
Can you build on a steep or sloped lot?
Yes, and around here it's a large share of what we do. Sloped lots need taller posts, deeper footings, and proper lateral bracing. We work that out during design so it's settled before we build.
    How soon can you start?
It depends on the season and what's already on the schedule. We'll give you a realistic start window with your estimate rather than promising something we can't hold to.
